Influenciats per als grups Beats a Inglaterra,Beatles i Stones,i a més per l´ American Garatge rock,al ”Nederbeat”,va ser el boom del rock a Holanda, durant mitjans dels anys 60´s.
Gracies al soport de la radio independent i pirata “Radio Veronica”,van sortir molt grups a la comunitat musical,principalment a la ciutat de Hague.
Els grups amb més seguidors eran,The Outsiders,Group 1850,Q65,The Golden Earrings,The Motions,Shocking Blue,Ro-d-ys,Bumble Bees,The Shoes,i Cuby & the Blizzards.

French electronic duo Air,means “Amour,Imagination,Rever”,formed in 1995 by Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoit Dunckel.
With Atmoshpheric sound inspired in synths players like Tomita,Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis,but also,nice pop melodies influence of Serge Gainsbourg.


After two fine releases first albums,“Moon Safari” and “Virgin Suicides”,the group oriented in more experimental direction,on electronica and trip-hop,styles.

Nemo Bidstrup,behind Time-Lag records obscure label

Time-Lag records,story

Time-Lag records was an independent label located in a rural place near Maine,US.The name came from a Time-Lag accomulator musical system,than was played on Terry Riley-“A Rainbow in curved air” album,and it´s about “the synchronicities of Life/Music”,in words of the one man label,Nemo Bidstrup.

Nemo´s started on 2000 year,he run the label and does the art/design/printing and fabrication,too.Every vinyl release is pressed in heavy 180gr vinyl,with a good sounding as source cames from master-tapes,and finally the artwork packaging is just amazing,as it´s made artesanal and with a handpainted way folk styles,like those 60´s labels as,ESP,Takoma,Folkaways..

Nemo has sold hundred of thousands lps,during the last 20 years,like some reissued obscure psychedelic albums from the west-coast 60´s,like Drywater,The Bachs,or Stephen David Heitkotter.Also,Six Organs of Admittance,Fursaxa,Visitations,Joshua Burkett,The Patron Saints..in experimental folk-rock,style.

Sadly the label closed the activity last 2015,with over 60 time-lag releases and organized about 200 live shows,too.

Grabació d´audio de la Movida

La Movida de Madrid,no va ser a la capital del  Estat  per casualitat.

La única televisió pública TVE ,la radio,RNE,las salas de concerts,la prensa musical,i  las discográficas,tots eran a Madrid.

Dins la politica la mort del dictador,La constitució, i el alcalde Socialista a Madrid,van alliberar les novas tendencias artísticas,l´art,cinema,música i el comic.

Las ciutats industrials,el desempleo i un estat d´depressió i fatiga, tenen als joves en crisis.

Asi dons, la música i el oci nocturn ,serán una escapada per una societat gris.

 

 

A Inglaterra el punk rock dels Sex Pistols, i NewWave(Wire,Fall,Joy Division,Bauhaus,Siouxsie…),neixan a ciutats industrials com Liverpool,o Manchester.

Als nous grups independents de Madrid,escoltan aquest nou estil musicals,afegin una nova identitat ,per ser diferents i no una simple copia de un estil ya existen.

 

Durant als anys 60´s a USA,tots als nois universitaris sabían tocar una guitarra eléctrica,i volian formar un grup de rock´n´roll,per triunfar i gaudir de la música.

A Espanya,”La Movida” va ser molt minoritaria,i si un grup triunfa tenian 10.000 copias del nou lp,pro la gran mayoría eran grups amb només 1.000 copias impresas dels primers discos.

Yo vaig gaudir a la Sala Zeleste del carrer Platería ,alguns de aquest concerts,i  vaig grabar-los amb un casete walkman stereo,per compartir la música amb altres aficionats que recordaran amb certa nostalgia el post-punk,i la onda siniestra,durant aquest inicis dels anys 80s.

Una música,amb ritual,mágia,vestuari negre,guitarras distorsionades i punk rock,que son una  part dels nostres arrels musicals.

Ride,una banda del millor segell de rock dels 90s,Creation records

Ride – Live @ Brixton Academy, London – 27th March 1992 [FULL SET]

La etapa amb el segell de rock,Creation records,va ser la més creativa i influencial de la banda de Shoegaze Anglesa dels 90s,Ride.
El estil es un mur de “noise” distorsionats(gravat a baixa frecuencia),molts efectes dels pedals de la guitarra,i melodias sicodélicas,inspiradas de grups de la época com als My Bloddy Valentine,House of Love,Stone Roses,i Sonic Youth.
Després de un prometedor primer álbum,”Nowhere”,i varios EPS,el grup va cambiar de estil,deixant la improvisació i pasan a un estil de Brit-Pop,com molts altres grups,deixant apart la genialitat i als llargs jams dels inicis.
Al poc temps la banda es separa,Andy Bell al guitarra entra als Oasis,al 2002.

El só es distorsionat i Lo-Fi,ya que la qualitat de la grabació es sense dinámica,i un só amb guitarras distorsionadas per una resposta,més energica i convulsiva.

Haruomi Hosono-Regar les flors

Haroumi Hosono,es molt conegut dins la escena pop Japonesa.

Compositor de molts estils durant la seva carrera,comença als 60´s,amb un grup de folk-rock,The Happy End.

Als 80´s,va ser el bajista de la coneguda banda de synth-pop,Yellow Magic Orchestra,amb Ryuichi Sakamoto (Teclats), i Yukihiro Takahashi.

Més tard edita varios albums,experimentan amb  synth-pop com “Philharmony”(1982).

Altre faceta seva va ser,compositor de bandas sonoras “Paradise view”(85),”Cochin Moon”(78),”The Tale of Gengi”(87),incorporan sintetitzadors i música electrónica ambient,en nous projectes com al célebre álbum “Omni sight seeing”(89).

El segell US,Light in the Attic, a re-editat 5 albums en solitari del artista i per primer cop fora del Japón.

Al 1984,rep l’encàrrec de escriure música per ambientar las botigas de la cadena de alimentació i paperería Muji.

El artwork de la casete,es obra del artista ikko-tanaka,que va ser director artístic de Muji.

Haruomi Hosono – 花に水 (Watering A Flower),casete in WAV 16 bits

La casete original, eran només tres temas electrónics de 15 minuts,de ambiente drone e interpretats amb sintetiçadors.

La cadena Muji va triar només “Muji  Orig. BMG“,que era la més indicada.

Hosono tenía una idea molt singular del seu Paradis personal,i als temas “Talking” i “Growth“,son una referencia a “Parlar”,i fer “creixer” les flors,en un contexte espiritual i paisajistic.

Mort Garson– Mother Earth’s Plantasia

Garson, músic de sesión i compositor,va ser un dels primers en tocar el sintetizador modular Moog.

El disc “Mother Earth’s Plantasia“ de Mort Garson té molts punts de conexió amb el disc de Hosono.

No va sortir a la venta,sino que era un regal donat per la compra de una planta a la botiga Mother Earth de Los Angeles.

Aquest es un disc de culte,en música electrónica i ambient.

Plantasia,i la afició per la botánica tenen un origen al llibre The Secret life of Plants,on mes tard Steve Wonder va editar un disc .

Eyeless In Gaza,UK New Wave band earliest days

Pioners of the Synth/Electronic bands I followed the band,purchase their lps and went to the gig concerts,too.

In 1980, after releasing some experimental/industrial DIY tapes,Martyn Bates formed Eyeless In Gaza with Peter Becker .

Exploring experimental/Electronic territories from filmic ambience/atmos to rock, the duo start with several albums on Cherry Red records,

– “Photographs as Memories” (Cherry Red BRED 13, Jan 30 1981, Lp)

-“Caught in Flux/The Eyes of Beautiful Losers” (Cherry Red BRED 18/12 BRED 18, Sept 1981, Lp/Ep12”)

-“Drumming the Beating Heart “(Cherry Red BRED 36, July 30 1982, Lp)

Here it´s a live recording from this early style,sourced from a cassette tape.

A lot of experimentation,atmospheric moody landscapes,Martyn Bates voice sings property but in very high tone,point me as close to other UK PostPunk/New Wave bands,like Joy Division,Cabaret Voltaire,or Durrutti Column.

“Rust Red September”,it´s an important change of Eyeless in Gaza history,as it is.
It´s damned good ,and the music gets more pop feeling,moved away from the early electronic dark synth,albums debut.

Becker´s ability with keyboards and arrangements,mades an synth/pop album,without been easy listening.
Them,Eyeless in Gaza albums of the 80´s are fundamental,of their whole discography.

Here it´s a live recording from this evolution to more pop oriented style,recorded “on air” from a cassette on Wav 16 bits audio.
