This is art,one´s of the best of 80´s industrial and a well produced album.
A meditation album of madness and solitude.
Musically is made with industrial drones samples mixed with some ambient “easter” sounds mainly,on long tracks as “Shamany Enfluence” and “The Death of Trees“.
That´s not easy listening rock music,so hard and difficult to enter of this ambient and drone world,plenty of samples,inventive noise effects,and experimental sometimes like Cabaret Voltaire,band.
A music than arrive to your soul as well it could get a Steve Reich,or Coil composition´s.

Cantautor de Folk Americá,Townes Van Zandt neix a Texas(1944).
A mitjants dels 60´s,durant les sevas primeras giras es troba a la legenda del blues Lightnin´Hopkins, que va influenciar la manera de tocar la guitarra de Van Zandt.

Als primers albums grabats entre 1968-1973,es considerada la etapa més prolifera de aquesta legenda del folk acústic Americá.
Steve Earle,the Black Crowes,o Emmylou Harris,admiran la brillant carrera de aquest compositor i la puresa i bellesa del seus discos.

Tristement,una legenda i altre pop star que va morir trágicament per exces de drogas

Eberhard Schoener,es un músic d´arrels clasics,va estudiar violin i direcció de orquestra,als seus inicis va experimentar amb els sintetitzadors i al instrument musical moog,interpretan als estils avant-garde,i electrónica.

Fruit de aquestas activitats,son aquest 2 albums “Music for Meditation”(Film-music),i “Bali-Agung” que van ser una etapa molt important dins la carrera musical,viatge a la illa de Bali per trobar-se a un mateix,i crea aquest disc de música tradicional Balinesa amb electrónica i avant-garde.

La intenció de Schoener era aproximar la música clásica de Mozart,a un públic jove aficionat a la música rock.

A legend,Robert Johnson was the American guitar blues.

Worked as a child in a cotton farm and due to this hard work and life plenty of difficults,he choose to learn the blues.

In fact tradicional legends called the blues as the music made by the devil,compares

with other spiritual and religious,popular songs.

Travelled by train around the deep villages of the Mississippi area and played Friday and Saturday night on music farm sceneries for just a free drink,food and a few bugs.

When he recorded some 78 rpm records in Dallas in the mid-1930´s,his popularity grew and got more and more audience on live bars.

A well known artist ,while lucky because has recorded some records,by the way his addiction to alcohol and women grow.

Died very early,at the age of 27.

Biography said than was murdered by poison,because of a jelasious affair with a woman.

A sad final by the legend of a delta blues singer.

Robert Johnson composed Blues standard songs like “I Believe I’ll Dust My Broom” and “Sweet Home Chicago”,than have been recorded by Muddy Waters, Elmore James, the Rolling Stones,and Eric Clapton.

“Library Music“,es un estil de gravacions fetes per a la industria del sector audiovisual,básicament anuncis i películas.
Sustitut economic de la música original,aquest temas de library la mayorìa eran instrumentals,i tenian el efecte desitjat.

Durant molt anys,als coleccionistas no podían adquirir aquest discos,milers de discos catalogats no estaban en venta,ancara que molts son discos prescindibles i de poc interés,ya que eran peces de fragments musicals i no cancons.

 

Segells com Music De Wolfe o KPM,editan als anys 60´s- 70´s,grabacions per ser descobertas per al aficionat entusiaste,dins dels estils de pop,rock,electrónica,jazz-funk clásic.

Grup de Rock & Blues ,Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band signan per A & M records en 1966.
Molts grups tocaban un pop comercial per promocionar als singles a las emisoras de radio, pro aquest disc es diferent, blues experimental,psicodelic ,es una obra de art.

Van Vliet,(Captain Beefheart) cantant i amic de Frank Zappa,edita aquest disc el mateix any que “Freak Out”,inspirat amb als musics del delta blues,com Howlin Wolf.També hi son Ry Cooder a la guitarra i Alex St. Clair l´ baix, i a las percusions,John French,tocan ritmes Africans.

 

 

“Plastic Factory”,amb un increible solo de guitarra blues,un dels millors que he escoltat,i la harmónica del Captain l´ acompanya amb un ritme perfecte.
“Zig Zag Wanderer”,”Call on Me”,i “Yellow Brick Road” son altres temas on destaca la guitarra,i ancara hi han altres temas de blues impresionants,com “Electricity” i “Abba Zaba.”

Molts segells discográfics,editan reedicions sense fer un adecuat  pre masters process,i aixó significa perdida en dinámica,i destrucció de audio,per únicament estalviar diners en la producció de un vinil.

Surely the oddity in the Kosmische Kuriere saga, this was a very, very limited sampler originally released in 1974, devised to introduce Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser’s troupe to the US Market. Very much like “Gilles Zeitschift”, it took fragments of various Cosmic Couriers records and sessions, editing, mixing and splicing them up with spoken messages weird sound effects and even some classical music into a psychedelic headtrip! For sure, one of the most obscure and sought after releases from the krautrock scene. Don’t miss it! Limited to 300 vinyl copies only with handmade cover (including wax seal!) and also includes a 50 X 70 colour poster.. “
