Void records,Segell indie de New Jersey

Void records,es un segell de rock Indie de New Jersey que desde 1996,han reeditat

prop de 56 reedicions oficials en vinils.

Als estils de rock son variats:Psychedelia,rock´n´roll,Folk,Progressiu…

Algunas noves reedicions en lps son grups locals de la escena rock USA,dels 60´s i 70´s,com:

Sunlight,Plastic Cloud,The Deep,Third Estate,Bliss,Sebastian….

Grups desconeguts per al aficionat,ya que als originals eran prensatges independents de tiradas molt limitadas.

Els nous segells indies son propietats de grans coleccionistas de discos de rock que coneixen el escenari de la música.

Els estils de rock sicodelic i progressiu son dels anys 60´s-70´s,i durant aquesta época,es van editar milers de discos.

Es tota aquesta música,que es molt interesant,per als coleccionistas i segells independents que volen editar novas reedicions en lp.

 

 

Brian Hulitt propietari del segell indie,negocia amb els grups la nova reedició de un LP .Son edicions limitadas de 500 copias,llavors paga els drets de copyright,i regala unas cuantes copias dels lps,als músics.

La producció del lp la encarrega a la fábrica de vinils,y quan rep la nova reedició,distribueix las copias del vinil a botigas de discos,i coleccionistas a través del seu web.

C86,la primera colecció de Indie Pop

Abans de Spotify,los recopilatoris grabats en cinta de cassette eran una bona oportunitat per descubrir nous artistas.
La revista musical,NME,editó aquesta cassette durant la segona mitat dels 80s,per promocionar artistas del segell Rough Trade com,Primal Scream,Jesus &Mary Chain o als Wedding Present,pro també moltas altres bandas del panorama indie.

“La perfecta cançó pop”….una peça de no més de 3 minuts,creada per un clásic grup de pop,de estil C86,pop.La mayoría eran bandas pop només conegudas en circuits indies locals.
Ambients sonors composats per veus melódicas,i guitarras ritmicas influenciadas per cançons clásicas dels Byrds,o la Velvet.

Camel,legenda del rock Sinfonic

El rock sinfònic,va ser un gènere musical de principis dels 70´s,que injustament no va suportar bé el pas del temps.
Un exemple de aquest estil són els Camel,un grup amb complexos ritmes i música experimental.
Formats el any 1972 a Surrey,la formació original era Andy Latimer(guitar,flute,vocals),Andy Ward(drums),Doug Ferguson(bass),i Peter Bardens(Keyuboards),anteriorment al grup Them.

El segon album,“Mirage”(1974),conté meravellosos sols instrumentals.
Es un disc amb un so caracteristic,on destaquen el teclista Pete Bardens,i el guitarra Andy Latimer.
Cal esmentar la suite “Lady Fantasy”,amb un llarg sol de guitarra que es un clàssic dins al rock progressiu.

El tercer àlbum,es al millor exemple de rock progressiu “The Snow Goose” (1975),un album conceptual i instrumental on es narra una història d’ amor,entre un cavaller que desapareix durant una guerra,i la seva princesa que es troba amb una oca blanca després de la batalla.
Aquesta fabula representa l’esperança de l’amor,davant de la guerra.

Los Sherpas,fueron el grup de música rock instrumental mes importante de la Costa Brava.Fueron los inicios de la música rock en directo,tocaban en Salas de Fiesta,y con estas canciones melódicas instrumentales la gente bailaba los lentos con su pareja.Aún no habian disc-Jockeys que pinchaban los discos,las discotecas llegarian más tarde.Grupo de música pop de los años 60´s en Sant Feliu de Guixols,con varias formaciónes,la más estable fué: Frances Más(Guitarra solista y voz),Joan Canadell(Bateria),Josep Camp(Guitarra ritmica),i Jordi Camps(Bajo).

Al video surten fragments de las entrevistas amb Gerard Bussot (Historiador),Josep Mª Vicens
(Casino La Constancia),Jaume Garcia (Radio Sant Feliu),i grups musicals de la época:Els Sherpas,Albatros Klub,Lone Star (Pere Gené),amb motiu de que als Lone Star van tocar en directe al Casino La Constancia al any 1967.
Una actuació de grato record per als fans ya que va ser al primer cop que actuaven al poble un grup de relevancia i prestigi de la música pop ye-yé,als anys 60´s.

Albatros Klub,era un lloc on es reunian uns amics per gaudir de las festes i las creacions
artisticas.
Formaron un grup musical,Albatros Klub,i ensayavan al local,tots els diumenges a la tarda.
Als inicis tocaven versions dels Doors,Animals,Shadows….
Al 1968,Alfons Hereu membre del club,estrena la primera película “Snap”,que obtingué la medalla
d´Or,en el Festival de cine amateur de la Costa Brava.
Al 1969,van fer una obra musico-vocal sobre la temática del Apolo XI.

Lone Star,una banda fundamental dels inicis del rock al nostre pais,una época amb molts grups ye-yés com Los Bravos,Los Brincos,Los Salvajes,Los Sirex….

Inspirats en la original British Invasion,als anys 60s destacan aquest grups als US:The Sonics,The 13th Floor Elevators,The Standells,The Electric Prunes,The Remains,Count Five,The Seeds….

Durant als anys 80´ torna amb força el garatge rock revival,i llavors les discográficas editan varios recopilatoris en vinil com Nuggets,Back from the grave,o Pebbles,on surten molts de aquest grups de garatge punk i sicodélics,amb una estructura básica de guitarra,baix,bateria,i veu.

Influenciats per als grups Beats a Inglaterra,Beatles i Stones,i a més per l´ American Garatge rock,al ”Nederbeat”,va ser el boom del rock a Holanda, durant mitjans dels anys 60´s.
Gracies al soport de la radio independent i pirata “Radio Veronica”,van sortir molt grups a la comunitat musical,principalment a la ciutat de Hague.
Els grups amb més seguidors eran,The Outsiders,Group 1850,Q65,The Golden Earrings,The Motions,Shocking Blue,Ro-d-ys,Bumble Bees,The Shoes,i Cuby & the Blizzards.
